This past week, I spent a lot of time visualizing.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

I got a really beautiful intention exercise from my Chopra certification program and I used it both on myself and to help my coaching clients.\u00a0
<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

It really works!<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

I know this because when I look back at my life, everything I accomplished was first a visualization.
<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

I spent years visualizing myself on a big stage, pouring my heart out in my songs. I saw myself graduating from the musical theatre academy in NYC. I visualized walking down the aisle at my wedding ceremony (on this day, Dec. 4th, 21 years ago, I was getting married to Matthew Cameron<\/em>).<\/span>\u00a0<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/h3>\n

I imagined giving birth to my children and holding them in my arms.\u00a0
<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

I also visualize a clean desk and imagine the\u00a0feeling of lightness that comes\u00a0<\/em>with working through the piles of papers and being all caught up on that work.
<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

I visualize the food I cook – what it will taste and look like.\u00a0
<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

I\u2019m sure you do this too.\u00a0
<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

When we intentionally visualize something that we are ready to commit to making a reality, the pieces somehow fall into place.\u00a0<\/strong>It feels like God, all the angels, and everything in the Universe arranges these little graces to carry us on our journey.\u00a0
<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Of course, we have to be willing to accept and believe this.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

How do you visualize yourself this Christmas?<\/strong>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Try to\u00a0visualize each step<\/em>\u00a0that you’ll experience.
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For example, I will first visualize the ‘big picture’ of sitting around the tree with my boys, and seeing all the beautiful lights and presents under the tree.
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, I will visualize every step that happens to make that a reality – buying a tree, clearing all the clutter and mess I made while decorating the tree, making a list of gifts, buying the gifts, wrapping them up, etc…\u00a0
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The intentional energy of the joy and calmness that I visualize as part of each step (because I\u00a0want\u00a0<\/em>to do those chores with joy and calmness) can actually change my attitude toward each of the tasks when I’m doing them.
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, because I\u2019ll experience more joy and calmness (instead of overwhelm and stress), I\u2019ll be a lot more ready, relaxed, grateful, and aware of God\u2019s graces and love when Christmas comes.\u00a0
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
