All week, I thought about what I could write to keep inspiring you and lifting you up (if you need a lift, that is).<\/span><\/p>\n Each day brought something new that I wanted to share with you – great insights, practices that helped me with my own anxieties, and even fun stories – as my week was one of those in which your own personal pain and our collective suffering help melt your guard down (or bring you to your knees). <\/span><\/p>\n It’s one of those times that exposes the soft spot from which compassion, love, and healing then spill out. (I posted a video in my Patreon community<\/a> on an especially vulnerable day.)<\/span><\/p>\n But nothing I started to write felt right…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n It was almost like my mind wanted to follow my regular \u2018weekly routine\u2019 of writing something inspirational and useful, and my heart kept blocking it.<\/span><\/p>\n So I paused. And I listened.<\/span><\/p>\n We\u2019ve been talking too much. It\u2019s time to listen. Time to stop thinking about our response, stop offering our justifications, our explanations, our versions of how we see the world.<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s time to stop nodding our heads as if we \u2018understand.\u2019<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The videos below are what my heart led me to. Without words, I\u2019ll invite you to just watch them.<\/span><\/p>\n The first one<\/strong><\/span> is a song about our human family.<\/span><\/p>\n The second<\/strong><\/span> is about making a difference.<\/span><\/p>\n The third<\/strong><\/span> is what happens when we put our guard down and allow Grace and love to soften us up.<\/span><\/p>\n All three come from people who I deeply admire (especially Clemmie Greenlee, who taught me so much about how not to play a \u2018white hero\u2019<\/strong> but to support grassroots leaders, like her, who understand the needs and struggles of her black community).<\/span><\/p>\n ______________________<\/p>\nAndra Day\u2019s<\/span> \u201cRise Up\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n
